Heidi started her career at a local advertising agency as the receptionist right out of Algonquin College’s marketing program. She worked her way up to Media Director and at the same time developed a company wide Filemaker database that began as a digitized version of the company rolodex then included estimating, production, invoicing and media tracking. After her second maternity leave, she returned to work with one of the agencies clients, where she still works today. At Tartan Homes, Heidi has been the Marketing Director for nearly 13 years and brought her database and innovation skills with her. She puts these skills to great use and has developed many systems, including the digital design centre platform that Tartan uses today. This web-based platform was recognized locally as the Best Marketing Innovation in 2018 and was also a finalist in the National Awards of Excellence in 2019 for best builder website. To date it is still a unique tool that proved invaluable during the pandemic and beyond. Heidi's loves being able to see how her work helps her coworkers be more efficient.She believes the biggest challenge facing the industry today is being able to balance the costs of building with the ever evolving pricing changes. And she looks forward to making a difference in how their systems are designed and understanding how they function. As Tartan is a relatively new customer of Constellation, Heidi is looking forward to learning more about it, and being able to provide tips once she does.When not working, Heidi likes to spend her time with family and friends as much as possible.
